Art Lectures at the Stafford Library
Four free art history lectures are given per year by noted college professors and are co-sponsored by the Ocean County Library. These lectures take place at the Stafford Library, 129 N. Main Street, Manahawkin, New Jersey in the lower meeting room. There is a reception for exhibiting artists one hour prior to the lectures. Art History Lecture and Art Show
The 1st lecture for 2012, sponsored by PSAA, cosponsored by Stafford Library, will be Monday, March 26, 2012, 7-9PM at Stafford Li-brary. Professor Lisa Festa, Ph.D., of Georgian Court University will speak on the topic: "Master Artist Vincent Van Gogh, Expres-sionist and Visionary." This is a Free event that you will enjoy and perhaps your artistic vision will be enhanced. It was planned to coincide with our April 26 Museum trip to Philadelphia to see the Van Gogh Exhibit! Preceding the lecture there will be an Artists Reception from 6-7PM to honor three of PSAA exhibiting artists-Pat John-son, Brad Thomas and Carol Neugebauer. Their art will remain on the Library's Gallery Walls from March 1st to April 30, 2012. Many of these beautiful paintings will be for sale through contact with the artists.
