Kathleen Walck
Since 1983 the Pine Shores Art Association has awarded fine arts scholarships On June 11 Ilomay Pedicini presented Kathleen Walck of Southern Regional High School with the 2011 Fine Arts Scholarship to help her attain her goals. Kathleen, who has won four other scholarships, will attend the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, where she plans to major in art advertising. Here seen displaying her pottery, she is also a gifted painter. Congratulations, Kathleen, from your friends at Pine Shores!
About the PSAA Scholarships
The selections are made each year by the head of the art department of Southern Regional High School. Funding for the award, which is now $750, comes from PSAA museums trips and from donations by members. Ilomay Pedicini coordinates this effort for us and attends the high school awards ceremony, which is held in June.
