Then, in May we had our annual Spring Art Exhibit. Definitely one of our best. So much so, that the show judge said: "It was one of the finest displays of art I have seen in recent years among state art groups."

This was followed by our first-ever Trading Card Show. Something different, fun, and delightful. A beautiful gathering of so many styles and techniques. Don't miss our next one.

How about that Fabulous Fakes show? Wasn't it just fabulous? Remember Danny Ng's "Rockwell" copy, and Albert Stietzel's "Persistence of Memory of Dali," to name just a couple. This exhibit's reception was among the best-attended ones here at Pine Shores.

As great as that show was, it did not overshadow the Photography Show in September. We saw an inspiring array of excellent, sensitive photography. That is how you could describe the two beautiful pieces by Mike Lipton. In one of Bill Bausmith's photos you could almost feel the cold, and Linda Reddington's striking photo showed her love of the local fauna.

Peppered throughout the year were the enjoyable art works of the Artists of the Month, starting with Chris Koutsogiannis and Carol Nace in January, Glenys Bauldertone in April, Hal Roth in August and now Lori Bonanni in October.

All told, we have really had a special 30th anniversary year. But it isn't over just yet because the top show of the year, like icing on a cake, will take place in November, our Fall Art Harvest Show. Do you have a painting ready for the October 26 receiving date?  If you don't, I know you will, and I and so many others are looking forward to seeing every one of them.

Last October's Art Harvest entrants lined up to sign in. Make sure you're among them this year.
