What's New & Noteworthy
Note from Pine Shores’ President Linda Saladino

This month marks the one-year anniversary of the Covid-19 lockdown. I'm sure you all share my feelings of frustration, but things will get better. I look forward to the arrival of Spring and its beautiful rebirth of our earth. Just think of all the subjects we can paint from the earth's canvas!  That’s something wonderfully constant in our lives - the love of art, which has been quite evident in all our on-line shows this past year.

Several members have also taken advantage of our Portrait and Do-Your-Own-Thing sessions that are back and held on alternating Thursdays in PSAA’s studio, (this month, Portraits 3/4 & 3/18 and DYOT 3/11 & 3/25).

The artists attending have voiced how good it is to be back in our "home". Our new professional Hepa Filter machine keeps the gallery safe and sanitized without open windows. So if you haven't yet been back in the studio, think about coming in for a session or class. Just be sure to register first due to the limit of participants allowed. Hopefully, we will all be able to be together soon. In the meantime, stay safe and well.

ART CHAT - Nancy Glines

Greetings everyone!

I sincerely hope that you've come through the holiday season and the shortest days of the year in good health and with hope for a better year ahead.

I've noticed that although we've been having snow and ice, there are birds gathering and sounding cheerful and the days are definitely getting longer.

I recently checked the Ocean County Library website and there aren't any changes in their covid policy at this point. I am however, looking forward to warm Spring days when we can meet again outside and will let you know as soon as I have a date and place for us to meet.

Take care, and I hope to see you soon.

Nancy Glines
